Mount Marty defeats Dordt 10-3

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Dordt Defender baseball team lost a 10-3 decision to Mount Marty in game one of their doubleheader on Saturday in Yankton, South Dakota.

Dordt got two runs in the first inning with Chris O’Connor singling in Taylor Neuroth and Trent Roose sent Colton Van Otterloo in with a single.

Mount Marty eventually responded with six runs on five hits in the second inning and tacked on two more in the third inning.

Colton Van Otterloo knocked in a run with a single in the seventh inning after Mount Marty scored one in the fourth and one more in the sixth.

THE NUMBERS

Colton Van Otterloo had two hits and a run scored with a run batted in.

Trent Roose had two hits and a walk with a run batted in.

Dordt was outhit 15-7.
