Recap

Day one of the GPAC Track and Field Championships was held in Yankton, South Dakota.  The day was interupted by a thunderstorm which delayed competition for over two hours.

Dordt's women's 4x800 met the automatic standard in their event for the first time this season and placed fourth while the men's 4x800 won the event and established a new meet record in the process. 

Ike Van Kempen also had a season best in the hammer throw.

Competition resumes Saturday with the majority of events being held.
