College of Saint Mary defeats Dordt 8-0
HOW IT HAPPENED
The College of Saint Mary Flames controlled game one of their doubleheader in Omaha, Nebraska on Saturday afternoon. The games were originally scheduled to be played in Sioux Center but were move due to wet conditions.
The Flames scored one in the first, five in the third and two more in the fifth to end the game by the eight run-difference rule.
Dordt had a runner in the second by error, had another reach on a dropped third strike in the third and Rachel Evavold had a double in the fourth for Dordt’s third and final base runner of the game.
Rachel Evavold took the loss and was charged with six earned runs on seven hits with four walks and four strikeouts.
Evavold was 1-2 at the plate with her double.
