HOW IT HAPPENED

Dordt lost a 9-5 decision to Dakota Wesleyan in game two of their doubleheader played in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on Friday, March 22.

The Defenders started the game with a two run first inning with Cam Pfafman singling in Logan Cline and Lucas Nelson followed with a double that scored Pfafman for a 2-0 lead.  Wesleyan responded with a run in the fourth but Dordt came up with a run n the fifth as Jason Holwerda singled in Austin Pullar.

Leading 3-1 Dordt allowed three runs in the fifth and the Tigers added five more in the eighth for a 9-3 lead. 

Dordt finished the scoring with two in the ninth inning as Steven Tiersma singled in Dillon Branderhorst and Cline had a sacrifice fly that scored Andrew Pullar.

DORDT NUMBERS

Dordt had a 13-11 hits advantage.

Pfafman was 3-5 with three singles and he scored a run and knocked in a run.

Cline was 2-4 with a pair of singles and he scored a run and had a run batted in.

Jason Holwerda and Andrew Pullar were both 2-4 with Holwerda recording a run batted in.

Austin PUllar reached on a pair of walks.
