HOW IT HAPPENED
The Dordt College men's volleyball team battled in five sets to get their first win of the year. They defeated Lindenwood-Belleville 3-2.
Solid defensive play led to victories in the first two sets for the Defenders. After going back and forth early in the opening set, Dordt stretched its lead to 17-12. The Defenders weathered a small run late from the Lynx and won 25-18.
The second set was tight from the beginning. The Defenders took an 8-7 lead and were able to hold on for another 25-18 victory. At one point, the Lynx were down 18-17, but Dordt was able to recover and pull away.

Set four again went the way of the Lynx. Dordt was able to hang around early, but a 6-0 run halfway through the set for the Lynx helped seal the 25-18 victory.
