The Dordt Theatre Department will present Lilies on the Land on April 5-7, at 7:30 p.m. in the New World Theatre.

Directed by senior Alex Rexford, Lilies on the Land portrays the Women's Land Army of World War II. The play is set in real time, as opposed to a nostalgic retelling. The audience is brought into the world and time of World War II. Taken from the stories of real women, Lilies on the Land provides a window into their lives, the hardships they faced, the songs they sang, the people they loved, and their dedication to the war effort.

Rexford is majoring in theatre arts and history at Dordt.

Tickets are $8 for general public, $5 for senior citizens and non-Dordt students, and $2 for Dordt students. For ticket information and reservations, visit www.dordttickets.com.
