The Defenders were helped by a fifth place finish at the NAIA Volleyball National Championsip and 10th and 16th place finishes at the NAIA Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Championships to total 186 points—eight points behind Rocky Mountain (Montana).
“We had a great fall season at Dordt. We felt momentum early on and teams performed well through out the season and into the post-season. It was a joy to watch our athletes compete and pursue excellence while continuing to develop as servants and students on our campus,” said Dordt College Athletic Director Ross Douma.
Southern Oregon secured a pair of fourth place finishes in the cross country championships; a fifth place finish at volleyball and a ninth place finish at men’s soccer.
The Learfield Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in NCAA Championships.
