(Wednesday, December 12; Sioux Center, Iowa) Cameron Roach, a senior at V.R. Eaton High School, has announced his intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender baseball program.
Roach has played shortstop, second base, third base and the outfield during his career to this point and also played for the Cooperstown Cobra baseball program.
"Cam’s athleticism and versatility will be a great addition to our program. He has played at a high level having won the 6A state title last season and was a key contributor in many areas," said Dordt College baseball coach Jeff Schouten.
Cameron is the son of Chris and Erin Roach of Fort Worth, Texas. He plans to study Engineering at Dordt College.
Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC).
U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
