(Thursday, February 28; Sioux Center, Iowa) Clay Van Tol, a senior at Western Christian High School (Iowa), has announced his intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender soccer program.
Van Tol played center back for the Wolfpack and earned first-team all-conference honors as a junior.
"Clay is an athletic player who works hard on the field and in the classroom. He will fit into the Dordt community well, we are excited to have him here," said Dordt soccer coach Ryan Gresse.
Clay is the son of Joe and Kari Van Tol of Rock Valley, Iowa. He plans to study Accounting at Dordt.
Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC).
U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
