(Friday; February 22; Sioux Center, Iowa)  Kolin Kroeze, a senior at Unity Christian High School (Iowa), has announced his intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender golf program.

Kroeze is a two-time first-team all-conference selection and a second-team all-league pick with his senior yet to be played.  His career average is 42.03 over nine holes and 84.55 in 18 hole competitions.

“Kolin is a great addition to the Dordt golf program given his high school career at Unity Christian and coached by Mr. Cody Harskamp.  Kolin has the tools to excel in college golf with his intelligence to manage his game and post a good score for his team. Kolin hasn’t hit his golf ability ceiling yet and I’m looking forward to working with him to improve.  He will make an outstanding teammate and his strong Christian character and positive attitude are exactly what we are looking for in our golf program," said Dordt golf coach Mark Christians.

Kolin is the son of Rob and Julia Kroeze of Orange City, Iowa. He plans to study Business at Dordt.

Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC).

U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
