Dordt agriculture students participated in the state PAS competition on February 6-7 at Honey Creek Resort near Moravia, Iowa. Dordt had 22 students representing the agriculture program at the event. Ten teams competed along with individuals participating in a variety of events.
“Competitions like this one allow our students to apply what they learn in class to real-world situations judged by professionals in the agriculture community,” says Gary De Vries, chair of Dordt's Agriculture Department. “Students also network with other agriculture students and industry professionals from across the country. These are their teammates working to solve the problem of feeding a growing global population while being faithful stewards of limited natural resources.”
All of the participating Dordt students qualified for the national PAS competition hosted in Loveland, CO, from March 12-16.
