(Friday, March 1; Sioux Center, Iowa) Joshua Deines, a senior at Marshall High School (Minnesota), has announced his intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender track and field program.
Deines has personal bests of 51.1 in the 400 meters, 41-6.5 in the triple jump and 6-1 in the high jump. He was part of a 4x400 meter relay team that ran 3:27.65. He was a state participant in the 4x400 and was conference champion in the triple jump.
Joshua is the son of Dave and Kim Deines of Marshall, Minnesota. He plans to study Engineering at Dordt.
Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC).
U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
