Lucas will be a great addition to the track and field and cross country programs at Dordt.  We are thrilled that he has chosen Dordt to further his education and be a part of the cross country and track and field programs.  Lucas has great potential as a runner, and will bring strong leadership skills to the teams.  It will be fun to see how he develops as an athlete and as a person," said Dordt track and field coach Craig Heynen.

Lucas is the son of Ryan and Anne Bandstra of Pella, Iowa.  He plans to study Business at Dordt.
