Track and Field Adds Tholen

(March 26; Sioux Center, Iowa) Amber Tholen, a senior at Marshall High School, has announced his intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender track and field program.

Tholen has performed mostly in the high jump during her high school career.

"We are excited that Amber has chosen to attend Dordt University next year and be a part of the Defender track and field team.  Amber will be a solid contributor to the high jump crew.  She is a good athlete with great potential to improve.  She will be contribute positively to the team aspect.  Dordt will be blessed to have her on campus next year," said Dordt track and field coach Craig Heynen.

Amber is the daughter of Randy and Elaine Tholen.  She plans to study Nursing at Dordt. 

Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC).  
 
U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
