(Thursday, April 18; Sioux Center, Iowa) Anneke Tel, a senior at Concordia Christian Academy (Washington), has announced her intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender women's soccer program.
Tel has scored 43 goals and assisted on a school record 36 goals for Concordia Christian. She was a first-team all-league honoree as a freshman and junior and was picked as league mvp during her senior campaign. Tel helped her team to a league title and state quarterfinal round berth in her final season. She's played outside back and central mid during her career and also competed for the Puyallup Soccer Union Club.
Anneke is the daughter of Art and Leslie Tel of Puyallup, Washington. She plans to study Education at Dordt.
Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC).
