An ensemble of 43 alumni and current students from Dordt University will be performing a pre-tour concert on Thursday, May 23, at 4 p.m. in the BJ Haan Auditorium on Dordt's campus.

The choir will travel to the Netherlands the following day to tour the country and participate in a national celebration of the 400th anniversary of the Synod of Dort and the creation of the Canons of Dort, a bedrock theological document for the Reformed Christian tradition around the world.

The program will focus on themes of God’s love and grace, and will include a wide range of songs by composers like Felix Mendelssohn, Edward Elgar, Josef Rheinberger, Morten Lauridsen, Jake Runestad, and Iowa native Elaine Hagenberg.
