The Dordt College Defender women's track and field team finished the NAIA National Championship weekend with a pair of relay teams earning All-American status and Miranda Velgersdyk sprinted her way to a third place finish in the 400 meters.

The 4x100 started the day running a 47.92 for 7th place with the winning time coming in 45.21.  The foursome was made up of Dani Wubben, Joscelyn Wind, Pam Regnerus and Miranda Velgersdyk.

Velgersdyk continued her busy day with a 3rd place time of 55.28 in the 400.  The winner came across the line in 54.41.

Velgersdyk then ran the lead leg of the 4x400  with Liz Rankin, Jenna Wilgenburg and Joscelyn Wind following in 3:48.52 for sixth place while the winners recorded a time of 3:37.57.
